Buzzards to barn owls, monkeys to meercats, lounging lizards to eagles and emu, there’s over 100 residents and always something new to see at Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre!

Located just a 1-minute drive or 13-minute stroll from Ecleshlall it’s a great experience for children of all ages and adults too.

What will I experience at Gentleshaw?

You’ll find a very warm welcome at Gentleshaw (they’re a registered charity), and they love nothing more than to share their story and open their home to fellow animal lovers and enthusiasts.

Bird of Prey are flown for exercise (weather permitting) or as part of a display 2pm weekends and school holidays from February to October. Please contact Gentleshaw if you particularly want to see the Birds being flown as times and availability of volunteers may vary.

Children can pick up an activity pack for just £1.00 which can be completed as they explore the wide variety of animals and the extensive facilities.

Group visits at Gentleshaw

School groups and clubs are always welcome at Gentleshaw! There’s a small classroom to host up to 30 people from Brownies, Guides, Scouts, WI, Schools, and Colleges and more. It’s also a great place to host a birthday celebration!
